About

As a writer and producer, I took a circuitous path to both after a long acting career which included Broadway, several network TV series and the lead in in a highly forgettable avante garde Mexican horror film.

Grounded in narrative fiction, I have written screenplays and television projects for among others Universal, HBO, CBS and Island Films, the latter a project fondly remembered for time needed to do research in Jamaica.

My journalism has appeared in such disparate publications as Rolling Stone, Readers Digest, Child, Elle, Family Circle and Conde Nast’s Traveler.

I have produced guerilla style docs, network one hours and indie features. I recently spent nine memorable years as a producer at NBC Dateline. Before that my numerous documentary films aired on prime time television including MSNBC, A&E, TLC and Discovery. Credits  include the feature length doc ALL DRESSED UP AND NO PLACE TO GO chronicling the lives of four heterosexual cross dressers. Featured at the Montreal Film Festival and the International Documentary Festival of Amsterdam, the film aired on HBO/Cinemax and television worldwide.

A dramatic television series WATCHING YOU is in development with Sony Television.

Having had a gloriously misspent youth, I just completed my first novel, “CHELSEA MANOR STREET: Bad Girls Go Everywhere.”

Launched “BINGE OR BOMB” a podcast devoted to reviewing binge-worthy series the rest of the world loves and you might never have heard of.From Scandi noir to Brit political thrillers to South Korean sagas and Spanish crime dramas. We let you know what to watch!

It all comes down to telling a story. I tell a great story. Plus I’m funny.
